The merry year is born,
Like the bright berry from the naked thorn.
8760 hour, 12 months, 365 days and 756864000 seconds. After this a year comes to an end. In the last year everybody had memorable and depressing moments. For some ,the year was extraordinary while for some, it was disappointing. But Once a new year starts it brings new thoughts. People make new resolutions for the coming year and try to make it a better one. We, as students should have studies as our first priority and achieving good marks as our 1 st resolution. There is a very important seven letter word for which all of us strive every year . It's SUCCESS. Success is never complete. We keep achieving it till the end of our lives. New Years provide us the time and opportunity to achieve it. In a New Year we should pledge to undo all wrongs we have done in the past and make a fresh start. We should promise ourselves that we will not repeat the mistakes of the previous year as Oprah Winfrey says Cheers to a new year and another chance for us to get things right. As Students we should make up our mind to read a lot not only for knowledge but also for pleasure as reading make a man. We should all promise to respect our elders and be obedient to them. We must stop procrastinating our work as procrastination is the thief of time. We must remember that Someday is not a day of the week. Every year we make resolution but do not follow it. Saying something is easy but carrying it out is difficult and only those people who undertake this difficulty get profit in life. A new year is a time when everybody rubs off all the odds and crosses of last year and people greet each other for a new start. A new year brings new hopes, new happenings, and new opportunities along with it. A new year means a fresh start, a new beginning. It arises the lost hopes and dreams and gives another chance for trial. A new year is part of a book. When we open this book. Its pages are blank. We have to put words on them ourselves. This book is called Opportunity and its first chapter is the New Year's Day. We all impatiently wait for a new year, a new start, a new run as Every man regards his own life as the New Year's Eve of time.
